Can anyone stop Juventus’ march to a ninth successive title?
(CNN) — For eight long years, Juventus has mastered Serie A without much of a challenge from those under it.
This year, however, the top few coaches of Italy will lock horns in what has the capacity to become one of the name races in nearly a decade.
Inter Milan, AC Milan and also champion Juve have changed manager because the conclusion of last year and a flurry of transfer activity sees three enter the new campaign with squads that were revamped.
Maurizio Sarri returns to Serie A after a stint in Chelsea with the task of leading Juventus to glory, although Antonio Conte arrives at an Inter with belief that he can challenge for the Scudetto.
The pair trying to shut the 11-point gap between Juve and his side year and could be combined in a thrilling title race with Carlo Ancelotti, who is currently in his second time with Napoli.
“It’s become a little bit boring at Serie A over the last few seasons,” Italian football pro Mina Rzouki informed CNN Sport. “So having these three Italian coaches back in the league I think is going to make it much more interesting.
“You only feel as if no one really can get near Juventus but for the very first time ever, when you cite these titles and you know that Carlo Ancelotti has a excellent squad and you understand his name inspires dread; you know Antonio Conte is back and he’s with the biggest rival that Juventus have.”

Sarri-ball
Even the Old Lady, bolstered by the addition of 84 million signing the advent of Aaron Ramsey and transports Adrien Rabiot and Matthijs de Ligt go into this year as heavy preferred to retain its summit and win a record-extending ninth Serie A title.
The passing after five years responsible as head trainer of massimiliano Allegri paved the way for the return of Sarri to Italy following his one season in England with Chelsea.
Sarri style of drama — known as Sarri-ball — thrilled audiences at Napoli, as the narrowly.
Allegri, conversely, used a more pragmatic and conservative fashion and Sarri task will be attempting to convert a squad which has known nothing else to the previous four seasons.
“I spent some time with Juventus in pre-season and one of those things that Sarri said is that this group was coached just a single way for four years and reeducating themgetting them to change, will take a time,” journalist James Horncastle told CNN.
“It is an interesting fit because you had players in the Premier League (at Chelsea) who like to take the ballthey prefer to dribble with the ball and that is something Cristiano Ronaldo does.
“When it comes to opening teams up with this fast Sarri-ball combination playthere are some players from the group I think are not conducive to this — and one is the largest star of the team in Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Champions League or bust?
Given its nationwide dominance, Juventus’ obsession — indeed, the reason it signed Ronaldo — is now winning the Champions League.
The Portuguese himself said he believes that this team could win the Cup within the next two seasons and, in 34 years of age, the clock will be ticking for Ronaldo to add to his haul of five.
But few clubs understand Champions League heartbreak such as Juventus.
Since last winning the contest in 1996, the Bianconeri proceeded to lose two consecutive Champions League finals and its own luck hasn’t changed in the intervening two decades, dropping three further finals (2003, 2015, 2017) to reach an unwanted tally of five consecutive final defeats.
“This group in certain respects has a brief window in order to provide,” Horncastle explained. “They have signed Ronaldo to deliver exactly the Champions League; Ronaldo is not enough on his own to win the Champions League.
“We found that a year ago he did it in both legs from Ajax — it wasn’t enough with him turning upward. I believe, ultimately, this is why they’ve taken a punt on Sarri.”
If the trainer, who before the new year’s start was laid low by pneumonia, then can easily execute Sarri-ball and find this team like his Napoli of older, that new-look squad might possibly be Juve’s most exciting nonetheless.
But should Juve take its eye on the ball the enhanced and new sides will be ready to take advantage.
“I don’t think (Juve) will predominate quite like last year because I think that the contest has got better,” Horncastle says of this Bianconeri’s Serie A opponents. “And there are some question marks about the new supervisor.
“In this, is he a fantastic match for Juventus? They are trying to do something different with a manager who’s different from ones they have had previously.
“But it’s a really ambitious appointment and if he can execute that style of play for this group of Juventus players, it could be the very best Juventus we have ever observed.”
Pretenders to the throne
Inter Milan is possibly best placed to slip Juventus’ crown season instead of entirely down into the signings it has created on the pitch.
Conte yields to his team for the first time as departing Juve at 2014 for a yearlong stint as head coach of the German national group.
The 50-year-old, who won the Premier League and FA Cup in 2 seasons is in charge of a thrilling new crop of youngsters headed up from the experienced arrivals of Uruguayan defender Diego Godin along with Belgium ahead Romelu Lukaku.
“With Antonio Conte in the helm of both Inter, he’ll stop at nothing to acquire the Scudetto and put Inter back where he feels that they belong,” Horncastle stated.
“Conte, for me personally, is one of, if not the biggest signing the league has ever had, make it even a coach or player, this season. I believe Inter will be a strong competitor for Juventus this year and it’ll go really close.”
Already in the combination from recent seasons is Napoli, whose team might be ready to mount another title challenge after completing 11 points back into second last period during the initial season accountable of Ancelotti.
“I think one of the reasons those men have come back is because Serie A has an appeal again it has lost,” Horncastle said. “I think they, especially Conte, wish to win and when he doesn’t believe he could build a winning team, then he’s not interested.”
More Milan misery?
Meanwhile, the AC Milan has appointed its sixth boss because 2014 after failing to qualify for the Champions League for the fifth season.
Participant Gennaro Gattuso has been the trainer to walk out of the revolving door that is managerial of Milan and has been replaced with Marco Giampaolo following his good work with Sampdoria.
“Milan has been a bit of an enigma over the last few seasons,” football journalist Mina Rzouki informed CNN Sport. “And that will be the task that Giampaolo has, to infuse some thing into this brand new team that has been regenerated once again.
“Having them perform amazing and innovative football — that is exactly what the design is at Milan and people always know they are a glamorous group, they’re not the hardworking Juve but they’re the beautiful Milan — and whenever you have coaches such an Ancelotti and Conte, I am not completely sure he will compete with them.”
Without Champions League football’s appeal, Milan has been forced to approach the transfer market into its rivals from a different angle.
An influx of young talent that is , headlined by striker Rafael Le??o and Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez, gives an perfect template for Giampaolo to work with.
“This has the potential to be quite arousing,” Horncastle explained. “One reason why Milan has signed Giampaolo isn’t because his teams play very great soccer, but they are great to see and they perform well against the big groups, but also for a staff club which does not possess its stadiu and is not getting into the Champions League — just how to you create money?
“You earn money by registering young players who you develop and then market in some scenarios. Giampaolo was fantastic at that.”
One of those children that are gifted to be marketed throughout his time in charge were Bruno Fernandes, Lucas Torreira, Milan ??kriniar and Patrik Schick.
Two seasons ago, after Napoli led the club table for lengthy lengths and also pushed Juventus into the penultimate match of the effort, it seemed like the era of dominance of the Turin club was coming to an end.
However, the year’s title procession reaffirmed that the top of the remainder were light years behind Italy’s powerhouse.
This time, though, which may be about to shift.
