(CNN) — For eight long years, Juventus has mastered Serie A without much of a struggle from those under it.
This year, however, Italy’s leading few trainers will lock horns in what has the capability to become one of the most exciting title races in almost a decade.
Inter Milan, AC Milan and defending champion Juve have changed manager as last season’s conclusion and also a flurry of transfer activity sees all three enter the new campaign with squads.
Maurizio Sarri returns to Serie A following a yearlong stint at Chelsea with the job of Juventus to domestic and European attractiveness, while Antonio Conte arrives at an exciting, new-look Inter with belief that he can challenge for the Scudetto.
The pair could be combined in a thrilling title race with Carlo Ancelotti, who’s now in his second time with Napoli and looking to close the 11-point gap between his side and Juve season.
“It has become a bit boring in Serie A within the past couple of seasons,” Italian football expert Mina Rzouki told CNN Sport. “So having these 3 Italian trainers back in the league I presume will make it much more intriguing.
“You just feel like no one can really get close to Juventus but for the very first time , when you cite these titles and you understand that Carlo Ancelotti has a wonderful squad and you know his name inspires dread; you understand Antonio Conte goes back and he’s with the largest rival that Juventus have.”

Sarri-ball
The Old Lady, bolstered by the inclusion of $84 million signing Matthijs de Ligt along with the arrival of free transfers Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey enter this year as heavy preferred to keep its summit and win a record-extending ninth Serie A name.
The departure after five years responsible as head trainer of massimiliano Allegri paved the way for Sarri’s return .

Champions League or float?
Given its nationwide dominance, Juventus’ obsession — indeed, why it signed Ronaldo — has become winning the Champions League.
The Portuguese himself said he believes the clock is ticking to add to his haul of five this team can win the Cup also, in 34 decades of age.
But few clubs understand Champions League heartbreak like Juventus.

But if Juve take its eye off the ball the sides that are improved and new will be prepared to take advantage.
“I really don’t believe (Juve) will predominate very like last year since I think that the contest has got better,” Horncastle claims of the Bianconeri’s Serie A competitions. “And then there are a number of question marks regarding the new manager.
“In this, is he a fantastic fit for Juventus? They’re trying to do something different with a manager who is very different from ones they’ve had previously.
“But it’s a very demanding appointment and when he can implement that style of play with this set of Juventus players, then it might be the ideal Juventus we’ve ever observed.”
Pretenders to the throne
Inter Milan is best positioned to slip Juventus’ crown this season instead of completely down into the signings it has made on the pitch.
Conte yields to his league for the first time since leaving Juve at 2014 to get a yearlong stint as head coach of the German national team.
The 50-year-old, who won the Premier League and FA Cup in just two seasons in Chelsea, is in charge of an exciting new crop of kids headed up from the arrivals of Uruguayan defender Diego Godin along with Belgium ahead Romelu Lukaku.

“Conte, for me personally, is just one of, if not the largest signing the league has ever had, be it a coach or player, this season. I believe Inter will probably be a formidable opponent for Juventus this year and it’ll go very close.”
Already at the mix from current seasons is Napoli, whose squad could be ready to mount another title challenge after completing 11 points back during the first year accountable of Ancelotti from second period.
“I think one reason those guys have return is because Serie A has a charm again it has dropped,” Horncastle said. “I believe they, particularly Conte, want to win and when he does not think he can assemble a winning team, then he’s not interested.”
More Milan misery?

However, without Champions League football’s appeal, Milan has been made to approach the transfer market from another angle to its rivals.
An influx of exciting talent, headlined by striker Rafael Le??o and Real Madrid defender Theo Hernandez, provides an perfect template for both Giampaolo to use.
“This has the potential to be quite exciting,” Horncastle said. “One reason why Milan has signed Giampaolo is not only because his teams play very good soccer, but they are good to see and they perform well from the big groups, but also for a staff club that does not own its stadiu and isn’t getting into the Champions League — just the way do you create money?
“You earn money by registering young players that you develop and then sell on in certain scenarios. Giampaolo has been fantastic in that.”
One of those children that are talented to be marketed during his time in charge in Sampdoria were Milan ??kriniar,” Lucas Torreira, Bruno Fernandes and Patrik Schick.
