A soul loss by the Cleveland Indians last night puts them behind some longer at the American League wildcard race. Rather than keeping pace with the Tampa Bay Rays, the Indians lost by a score of 8-3 and now find themselves 1.5 games behind the Rays. They moved into yesterday down by half a game, but with all the loss and the Rays winning, the Indians are in a tough situation suddenly.
Last night the Rays acquired a win. They seem as they wish to be playing baseball although the Indians are stuck in reverse. There’s still time left to reestablish a 1.5-game deficit, even however. A win and loss by the Rays and they’re back to only a half game back.
In other words, the Indians cannot call it a season nonetheless. They might be down but they are not out. This is definitely the most interesting race. Although the wildcard situation in the American League has never been decided, everything is shaping up.
The Twins are snatching the AL Central as we’ll have a new winner in the division as 2015 when the Royals won. The Indians three-year streak will come to a conclusion. Like the Indians have had a lousy season, Plus it isn’t.
The Indians go into with a record of 93-64, therefore nothing terrible about that. However, the competition level has been really stiff this season. They be going into the postseason if they were at the National League.
Both wildcard teams in the NL at the moment have documents of 88-70 and 89-69. Minnesota have clinched, therefore the Indians don’t have to concern themselves with them any longer. They must locate a means to capture the Rays, however.

It has not been a textbook season for Cease, that will be making his 15th start tonight. Cease stays an ERA of 5.79 and also 1.55 WHIP, however, was looking great of late. Cease has recently posted an ERA of 1.88 and 1.53 WHIP in 14.1 innings. But, two of three of those games were on the road. Cease has fought in Chicago, with a 6.82 ERA along with 1.81 WHIP in 34.1 innings.
