Ryan Fox and George Coetzee equally fired six-under 65s to share the first-round lead at the Amundi Open de France near Paris.
With tournament golf returning to Le Golf National for the first time since Europes memorable Ryder Cup victory 54 months ago, Fox and Coetzee finished day one with a one-shot lead above a group such as Richie Ramsay, however defending champion Alex Noren faces a struggle to create the cut after an erratic 72.
Coetzee made the most of the great scoring conditions from the early session, while in addition, he defied the distraction of seeing playing-partner and 2012 winner Marcel Siem disqualify himself after the front nine when he was advised hed incur a 10-shot punishment for lifting and placing his ball twice, mistakenly believing favorite lies were in performance.
The South African birdied the first two holes made three in a row from the sixth, ahead of his only bogey of the day in 17 finally cost him the outright lead, and he picked up further shots at the 10th and 15th.
Jordan Smith looked to surpass Coetzee by some space when before errors hampered him melts the stretch, he birdied the first six holes also also made the following at 10, and Fox proved the player in the following starters to get to six under.
Fox, son of Blacks legend Grant, capped an outward 31 with four birdies in five holes after downing a birdie at 12 with his solitary blemish at the next, he got into a share of the lead with a different fantastic putt on the 16th green.

The Kiwi gave a excellent chance of an eighth birdie of the round when he knocked his second at the last to himself, but he let rest and had to pay for a tie on top together with Coetzee.
Ramsay carded shot dropped in his 66 as he looks to cement his position in the field for the Airlines implanted next month, the Scot coming in Paris ranked 60th to Dubai in the Rush.
Ramsay shares third with 2012, using Kurt Kitayama along with Benjamin Hebert Ryder Cup star Nicolas Colsaerts back after the Belgian closed a 67 together along with his fifth birdie of the day at the ninth.
Smith was on 59 awake soon after celebrated putting coach Phil Kenyon tweeted that he wouldfloat the station naked to congratulate anyone breaking 60 at Le Golf National.
The Englishman was seven under after 10 and had five birdies within the previous eight holes to give Kenyon a dilemma, since he ran up a triple-bogey seven, but his challenge unravelled in the 13th.
While Noren at least appreciated a finish to a difficult day on his return last year, smith erred again at the 17th and parred the last to round off a 68.
Noren pinpointed the last putt of the contest from 50 ft to spark scenes of wild jubilation, but the Swede was much less euphoric when he slipped into three around with five to play before lifting his soul when he pitched in for a morale-boosting eagle at the long ninth.
