Anthoine Hubert: Respects paid at F2 driver’s funeral in France

The motorsport community paid its worth to Anthoine Hubert at the Frenchman’s funeral Tuesday.
Racing colleagues and buddies, such as Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon, and George Russell, combined friends and Hubert’s family in the service from Chartres, France to remember that the 22-year-old.
Hubert was murdered on August 31 in an F2 accident at Spa-Francorchamps.
A portrait of Hubert was exhibited outside the palace where the funeral was held. Walkers’ crash helmets were laid out as a mark of respect inside on seats.
Hubert, the winner of the GP3 championship last year, was a part of Renault’s driver academy, and the Enstone staff submitted a heartfelt tribute to him social media, describing him as a”great” man.
The Formula 2 championship tweeted:”Now, we recalled the shining light of one of the brightest stars, Anthoine Hubert, with the remaining part of the motorsport community. Our thoughts have been with all people nearest to himas his life has been celebrated today at Chartres Cathedral.”
FIA president Jean Todt and four-time world champion Alan Prost, who’s a Renault F1 advisor, were among those in attendance.
