Andy Murray run in the China Open has ended from the quarter-finals with a straight-sets defeat to Dominic Thiem.
Murray took the top seed into a second-set tie break in Beijing before his struggle finished in a 6-2 7-6 (7-3) conquer.
The world number one, however, will be encouraged by his screen and his championship as he bids earlier this year to return to the high degree of golfing following surgery due to his hip.
