The 25-year old was hit by a motor vehicle in Delray Beach, Florida on Sunday morning and had to have the bottom half of the right leg amputated. He is now listed in critical condition at Delray Medical Center according to Blackzillians teammate Rashad Evans.
Bellator released a statement suggesting Delray Beach police are searching for info from anyone who might have seen the accident. “Bellator has been advised of a dreadful accident that occurred last night between featherweight fighter Jordan Parsons, who had been struck by a vehicle at a hit-and-run incident,” the announcement read. “We’re still in the process of uncovering details and with his family’s consent, expect to get an update on his medical state shortly. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jordan and his family as he recovers. The hit-and-run occurred on Lindell Blvd. and South Federal Highway at Delray Beach, Florida.
